Noble x San Diego Artist Feature: Jiyan Zandi

The San Diego community is filled with artists and creatives that make the city unique in itself! Not only is our founder / designer Jen based in S.D but we've been shipping our Noble goods from this area for the past 6 years!

Today we dive into the first of these special San Diego Artist features starting with local photographer & stylist Jiyan Zandi to explore her personal journey as an emerging artist.

Jiyan wearing our Chore Shorts in Size Small (launching Thursday 5/26 @ 7am PST) & our Key Lime Waffle Top.

Where are you based in San Diego and how long have you been here? I live in Barrio Logan. I was born and raised in San Diego :)

How long have you been shooting photography / styling? I’ve had a camera for as long as I can remember. Professionally, I’ve been doing photography and styling for about 8 years.

Jiyan wearing our Peanut Butter Utility Suit in Size Small (launching Thursday 5/26 @ 7am PST) while styling a still-life photoshoot in her studio.

What helps keep you inspired while working in a creatively demanding field? Remembering where I come from, my ancestors, and my Kurdish + Mexican cultural lineage. Being able to live off of my creative expression is a privilege and is only possible because those before me worked hard to make this dream a reality. I’m reminded everyday that I have the freedom to dedicate myself to my craft, contribute to my family’s creative legacy, and through my journey inspire others to do the same.

What would be your dream products to style? Old artifacts from different eras and cultures around the world!
